A technological breakthrough has forever changed the scope and scale of space travel. Tension on earth builds as the inhabitants realize that the vast distance between stars has never been on obstacle for inter-stellar, or even inter-galactic travel. The earth has always been exposed to the the treat of an alien invasion.
But, what if we find them before they find us?
Fear and aggression was such a pleasure to write. I enjoyed exploring the moral dilemas faced by the various characters and groups of individuals. The more we explore the universe, its galaxys, stars, and planets, the less likely it seems that we are alone. One day we may make contact with other intelligent beings. What will we do? How will humans respond? How will those beings respond to us? In our history, how have we acted when we came upon other civilizations before? Will our belief system, faith, and moral values change how we will feel, act, and respond?
The upcoming second novel by Dane Bagley.
The people who called themselves, of Dargaer, had enjoyed the past five years of peace and prosperity. Never in their lifetime, nor throughout their known history, had their people lived so long without an episode. Their ruler, Drashmaer, was deservedly credited. He had established the sentinels and perfected the weaponry. He had organized the peoples and had empowered them. Their confidence in him, and in his ways, appeared to no longer be bounded.
But, there was a great evil in the land. A fierce dragon, known as Dromreign. If they could not protect themselves, perhaps they could seek refuge in a place of mystery, of rumor, of speculation, a land of peace and protection, a place known as, The Promise Land.
